it's 4 in the afternoon and i have done absolutely nothing all day.
i woke up at 10, and stayed at chelsea's till about 1:30, even though she was at school.
then i came home and watched oprah and dr. phil reruns.
yes, i am aware of how pathetic that is.
my government teacher and i bumped heads again (surprise surprise) during her last lecture.
this is something i will never understand.
gay right activists groups are fighting for most of their rights (as are pro-choice groups) under the "privacy" & equal rights clauses of the 14th amendment.
most of the debate occurs because 1) some Americans don't even believe the privacy clause exists in relation to those issues in the first place and 2) interpreting those rights will always be iffy because of society's moral standards.
still, both groups continue to fight, attempting to prove that such rights are backed by the Constitution.
On the other hand,
the Constitution says directly that as Americans, we have the right to bear arms... yet, somehow.. liberals have managed to convince themselves that that right doesn't exist at all.
it makes no sense. they search and search and imagine the Constitution to grant all of these ridiculous rights, and then turn around to deny the ones that actually exist.
stupid?
i'd say so.
